A Maoist cult leader who use violence, anxiety and sexual degradation to control wives he regarded captive has been found guilty of a string of sex assaults.

Aravindan Balakrishnan, 75, crimes two adherents and falsely imprisoned and manhandled his daughter for more than 30 years in a commune in south London.

He told his followers he had God-like superpowers, Southwark Crown Court heard.

He forewarned them a supernatural push announced Jackie would stimulate natural disasters if he was ever disobeyed.
